Upon releasing a promotional video for their upcoming “NYC x BOSTON” performance in Staten Island, NY on Mar 1st, some Jordan Barone and Eddy I. fans noticed a beat that may have sounded familiar. Recently, the two have documented their time in the studio together on social media, and if you were paying attention, you may have realized you have heard the beat on their Instagram stories before. It’s a subtle hint, but the beat comes at about 0:53 in the promotional video, while the flyer for the event displays. There are no present lyrics, but Barone and Mr. I. (along with Red Planet C.E.O., Stefan Barone) have hinted at the #PlanetSalsa (a play on the Red Planet Records and Team Salsa brands associated with each act) collaboration. Fans have yet to know if #PlanetSalsa is a single track, or will be a full project in the future, but the show may feature the song.

Jordan Barone’s debut music video captures lost love, failed relationships, and solemn loneliness in New York City. Directed by 19 year old film protege, Whipalo (Director of “Check Up” by Leeky Bandz & PnB Rock, “Adonai” by Danny Singh), in a secret luxury apartment in the Bowery section of the Lower East Side, “Same Thing” chronicles one of the 8 million stories in the naked city. The video follows Jordan through late-night love, returning to one he knows will inevitably end, whipping between noir and dream-like sequences, encapsulating lust and longing. The surprise snippet of “Used To” debuts Jordan’s immense range as an artist, enveloping and invoking the energy of the city in short bursts of performances throughout iconic backdrops of subways, scaffolds, and alleys. Both songs will be found on Jordan’s debut EP, Midnight Conversation, set to release late 2018.
